Compared with ordinary pipes, the finned pipes with studs can increase the external heat exchange surface area by 2 to 3 times, significantly enhancing the heat transfer coefficient between the hot flue gas (inside the furnace) and the process fluid (inside the pipe). This enhanced heat transfer efficiency enables a more compact design of the furnace, reducing equipment size and energy consumption, while also maintaining or improving the heat output,which is crucial for optimizing the performance of combustion heaters in oil refineries and petrochemical plants.
